Our mixing engineers work with your individual tracks — balancing levels, shaping tones, adding depth and clarity — to turn raw recordings into a polished, release-ready mix. Whether you recorded at RTRC, another studio, or your home setup, simply send us your session files and we'll take it from there. Book a mixing session or send us your tracks today.
Sessions have a two-hour minimum.
Sessions require a 50% deposit (non-refundable if cancelled within 3 days of the session).
What is Mixing?
Mixing is the process of blending all recorded elements of a song into a balanced and cohesive track using level balancing, EQ, compression, panning, and effects to create clarity and depth. The goal is to ensure every element works together sonically and translates well across all listening systems, from headphones to car speakers, while supporting the emotion and impact of the music.
How to Work with Us
Step 1: Book your session or contact us to discuss your project and timeline.
Step 2: Export and organize your multitrack stems or session files (WAV or AIFF format).
Step 3: Upload files via EngineEars or send them to your engineer via email, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
Step 4: Your RTRC engineer mixes the session; you receive the mix and provide revision notes.
What to prepare
Exported, labelled multitrack stems (WAV or AIFF recommended, 24-bit or higher).
A rough mix or reference track so your engineer understands your vision.
Notes on the vibe, genre, and any specific direction for the mix.
Tempo/BPM map if your session uses time-based effects (reverb, delay).
